Can İbrahim Narin, the Turkish manager of Astra Sport Agency, spoke in an exclusive interview with the microphones of “Il Sogno nel Cuore”.

Can İbrahim Narin: “Osimhen is committed to Galatasaray fans. Negotiations with Çalhanoğlu are underway…”

— Welcome İbrahim. Can you tell us what has driven the rapid rise of football activity in Turkey in recent years?
“The rapid growth of Turkish football stems from the combination of three factors: pure passion, strategic reforms, and global visibility. Our fans create an atmosphere that cannot be ignored: emotionally, we have always been a giant. But now the club management has evolved as well. Investments are smarter, infrastructures are productive, and broadcast agreements bring Turkish football into millions of homes worldwide. This is not just growth, it’s a transformation. And this is only the beginning…”

— Do you think the Süper Lig can compete with the major European leagues? “If we’re talking in terms of revenue, not yet. But if we’re talking about excitement, intensity, and unpredictability, absolutely yes. The Süper Lig is unique because it combines top-level talent with a football culture that is emotionally gripping. Our stadiums are full, our derbies are historic, and our football is often more open and aggressive than many of the ‘big five’ leagues. With the right financial model and youth development pathway, very soon we will not only chase the most prestigious leagues but also collaborate with them on an equal footing.”

— Do Arda Güler and Kenan Yıldız represent the future of the Turkish National Team? “Yes, and not just in theory: they are already showing it on the most important stages. Arda demonstrates to the world how game vision, technique, and composure can come together in a body born in 2005. Kenan brings a modern, vertical attacking threat and is very similar to a young Müller. What sets them apart is not only talent but also mindset. They are not intimidated by the weight of legacy; they are writing their own history. These two are the pillars of the national team for the next decade.”

— What is missing for the National Team to make a quality leap under Montella? “Montella has brought clarity and energy, but two final pieces are missing. A dominant center-back to lead the team under pressure, and a calm, paced defensive midfielder who can control the game and, when necessary, slow down the rhythm. We are explosive in attack, but sometimes in critical matches, we need that veteran composure. Once those are in place, this team can go beyond the quarter-finals and start knocking on the doors of real trophies.”

— Osimhen’in geleceği belirsiz. Galatasaray onu bir yıl daha tutabilecek mi?

His retirement marks the end of an era, but the legacy he leaves will last forever.”

— Leroy Sané Galatasaray’da ne kadar belirleyici olacak? Kulüp başka yıldız oyuncular alacak mı?
“Sané will change the way Galatasaray attacks. His arrival means defenses won’t be able to compress space: they’ll have to respect his speed. This will also open new pathways for midfielders like Torreira and Ziyech. Moreover, Galatasaray’s transfer activities point to something bigger: they are not just building a team, they are constructing a project. And yes, other top-level players will also come.”

— Hakan Çalhanoğlu ile Galatasaray arasındaki görüşmeler hangi aşamada?
“Yes, moreover: this is not just business, it’s personal. Hakan is emotionally attached to Galatasaray. The club respects his leadership and vision. The only thing to do is to align Inter’s demands with Galatasaray’s offer. But things are progressing. The player wants it, the fans want it, and the club wants it. In football, miracles usually happen this way…”

— What do you think about Mourinho’s first year at Fenerbahçe?
“Taktiksel olarak? Sağlam. Psikolojik olarak? Devrim niteliğinde. Mourinho sadece teknik direktörlük için gelmedi, Fenerbahçe’nin zihniyetini değiştirmek için geldi. Onun varlığı bile beklentileri yükseltti, profesyonellik talep etti ve alışkanlıkları yeniden yapılandırdı. Tartışmalı kararlar nedeniyle eleştiriler aldı ama Mourinho böyledir: oyuncularını korumak için baskıyı üzerine çeker. Gelecek sezon onun gerçek sınavı olacak. — Son olarak, Türk kulüpleri ya da oyuncular ile Serie A kulüpleri arasında transfer görüşmeleri var mı?
“Evet, birçok. Trafik artık çift yönlü. Galatasaray, Hakan için görüşüyor ve aynı zamanda Zaniolo’nun geleceğini değerlendiriyor. Fiorentina ve Bologna, Türk kulüpleriyle güvenilir iletişim hatları kurdu. Ayrıca, birkaç Serie A gözlemcisi Süper Lig maçlarını haftalık olarak takip ediyor.
